The LifePharm Global Network Policies & Procedures manual virtually tells you everything you need to know about being an Independent Business Owner (IBO). From inventory to filing taxes, marketing and advertising techniques to bonuses and commissions, the manual clearly spells out what you should do, may do, and cannot do. In the rare case that there is a dispute between IBOs and/or LifePharm Global Network, the manual explains the step-by-step procedures to follow.
Here are a few ways to keep your business compliant:
Do not try to sponsor IBOs from another network marketing company, as you do not want to risk being sued by another company for “poaching” their distributors.
Always keep tax-related information up to date, and submit any changes to LifePharm Global Network.
All IBOs are responsible for paying local, state, and federal taxes due from all compensation earned from selling LPGN products and meeting rank requirements.
Be aware of what you can say about LPGN products. No medical claims can be made; but you may communicate specific benefits and personal experiences, as long as they do not imply the treatment or cure of any disease. The Policies & Procedures delineates clearly what you may say about LPGN products.
When presenting the LPGN Opportunity or Compensation Plan to a prospective IBO, do not make income projections or claims. Each person’s level of success will be different. However, LPGN does have an Average Income Disclosure statement you can use when meeting with prospects.
IBOs are encouraged to display and represent LPGN products in reputable trade shows and exhibitions.
Do not display or sell LPGN products in commercial outlets, such as health food stores, grocery stores, chain stores, shopping malls, Internet auction sites, or other sites where the primary function is retailing products.
Consult your Policies & Procedures manual often. The latest version is dated February 1, 2014 and updates have been highlighted for your convenience.
