Do you eat 5-8 vegetables and fruits daily?

This is the third in a series of articles that will examine the beneficial properties of IMMUNE+++.

Why is IMMUNE+++ from LifePharm Global the best immune support supplement on the market today? Because you will not find a combination of more potent immune stimulating compounds, antioxidant blends and fruit flavonoids that synergistically work together anywhere else! These ingredients enhance the Life-C Blend of Vitamin C in IMMUNE+++ so that it stays in the body longer and performs better than others, giving your body the optimal protection to ward off both internal and external agents that may weaken your system.

We know we should eat 5-8 servings of antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables, so the question is not "Are you doing this?" but "How do we do this?" Our hectic lifestyles seem to make it difficult. Part of the solution is to take a well-developed nutritional supplement to help incorporate what you are missing. LifePharm Global Network makes a superior product with ingredients that are shown to be beneficial and worthwhile taking over the long term. You would have to eat 23 oranges to get the same amount of Vitamin C contained in two tablets of IMMUNE+++.

The results are becoming conclusive after years of looking at antioxidant status and its relevance to chronic conditions. Bottom line, people who consume more antioxidant rich diets have stronger immune systems, stronger hearts (fewer lesions, less arterial build-up), less inflammation, less sugar metabolism issues and better neurological activities. That is why we call these anti-aging nutrients!

Combining science and nature
Numerous berries, fruits and herbs that have long been used in traditional medicine practices are showing astounding results in recent studies in the areas of immunology, heart health and for chronic age related situations. LifePharm Global Network has researched and selected the best nature has to offer in a supportive blend of additional herbs and fruits to activate and fortify the Vitamin C blend known as Life-C in IMMUNE+++.

As we continue learning about health and the benefits of IMMUNE+++, "inflammation" (general and specific) has been found to play a key role in numerous health disorders (joint soreness, liver weakness, mild pain, immune system disorders, infections and metabolic disorders). Scientists have become far more aware of the potential benefits of antioxidants and their key function to support anti-inflammation markers in the body and towards promoting health1.

Camu Camu (Myrciaria dubia) is a versatile berry with its pulp, seeds and skin all presenting a wide variety of powerful antioxidants (polyphenols, flavonoids, quercitin and ellagic acid) known for health promoting qualities and a high ORAC (antioxidant value). It is a fruit native to the Amazon regions of Brazil and grows in swampy areas. The fruit is not consumed in its natural state, except by the indigenous peoples because of its sour taste due to high acidity. It is usually made into juices, purees, and pulp for beverages or to make into powder for foods1. It contains one of the highest and most stable forms of Vitamin C found in any fruit. It contains a substantial amount of minerals1.

Animal and human studies show significant improvement with less inflammatory markers when consuming Camu Camu. The human study showed that Camu Camu performed better than the same amount of Vitamin C alone1. The synergistic effects of combining fruit flavonoids and other plant antioxidants seems to help the overall improvement in health parameters often measured in these studies1.

Acerola (Malpighia emarginata) is also a small tropical berry fruit found to be very high in Vitamin C. Acerola is native to South America, southern Mexico and Central America, but is now also being grown as far north as Texas and in subtropical areas of Asia, such as India. It is rich in Vitamin C, almost as much as Camu Camu. In addition, it contains vitamins A, B1, B2 and B3, as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids, which provide important nutritive value and have antioxidant uses.3 The Vitamin C available with other important antioxidants in the fruit is better absorbed by humans than synthetic ascorbic acid alone3.

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a well-known plant used in Ayurvedic traditional medicine native to the Indian subcontinent. It is also known as Indian ginseng or Indian winter cherry, and is said to have multiple wellness properties. It is used as an essential ingredient in hundreds of Ayurvedic wellness formulations. One very important compound called withaferin was isolated about 40 years ago. It is shown to have remarkable functions towards supporting immunity. It targets mutated cells and reduces considerable damage to the DNA.6 This Ayurvedic medicinal plant has been traditionally used for centuries and is receiving much newsworthy attention in the scientific community for its powerful possibilities in improving health6.

Sea Buckthorn has recently been studied for its benefits to protect the DNA during radiation damage. By protecting the DNA from this severe damage biochemically, it shows its potential at protecting cells at their most vulnerable sites5.

More than 90 percent (5,800 sq mi) of the world's natural sea buckhorn habitat is found in sandy areas of China, Mongolia, Russia, northern Europe and Canada, where the plant is used for soil, water and wildlife conservation as well as for consumer products. The antioxidant properties and cell protection properties of sea buckthorn are being evaluated. The word for the genus was Hippophae rhamnoides with Hippo (meaning horse) and phae (meaning shiny coat) as it grew abundantly and was fed to horses to build their health.

Pomegranate is a special fruit known in numerous cultures for its benefits and used during celebrations to promote a long and happy life. A study of 28 healthy young adults showed a major and significant improvement in antioxidant capacity while consuming pomegranate. Drinking pomegranate juice daily lowered lipid oxidation production known to be detrimental to health and to the cardiovascular system. At the end of the study, the subjects showed a significant decrease (-29 percent) in plasma lipid oxidation (malondialdehyde concentration), and a significant increase (+115 percent) in plasma antioxidant capacity4.

Separate studies with animals and humans have supported the scientific evidence on pomegranate consumption: immune deficient mice had fewer heart vessel lesions and humans showed better cardiovascular functions. The researchers concluded that the cardioprotective benefits of pomegranate juice deserved further clinical studies. They went on to state that it may be "prudent to include this fruit juice in a heart healthy diet."2 The reason these antioxidants are important is that they:

By adding the Herb & Botanical Blend of Camu Camu, Acerola, Ashwagandha, Sea Buckthorn and Pomegranate to the IMMUNE+++ formula, LifePharm Global Network has created a superformula with ingredients that complement and fortify each other for maximum effectiveness.
