Merge your heart and mind for success

In business, success is measured primarily by dollars and cents, profit and loss, the bottom line, so to speak. This is especially true at the beginning of business building. But what happens after the business provides a stable source of income? Is amassing or growing income enough to spur continued business building momentum?

Maintaining equilibrium between passion and reason—between the heart and the mind—is essential to creating a balanced life, and by extension, a long-term successful business. When the heart and the mind clash, the entire body must pay the consequences with mental and physical issues. For example, everyone has experienced insomnia resulting from excessive worry—usually the problem stems from a disagreement between what the heart feels and what the mind dictates. When the two are complementary, there is a synergy that allows us to excel in whatever we endeavor but when there is dissension, there is bound to be some form of fallout.

In network marketing, the heart and the mind naturally work hand in hand. The business model is based on the successful cultivation of multiple relationships, and as such, the heart plays a bigger role than in traditional ways of conducting business. In fact, one of the key elements to successful business building in network marketing is the acknowledgement and understanding of each individual’s “why.” Why did you join LifePharm? More succinctly, what is your purpose in being part of LifePharm? What drives you?

The answer can be simple or complex. You may have joined to benefit from wholesale pricing of amazing products. You may have joined because someone you know showed remarkable health results. Or, someone you know may be living a lifestyle you want. It could be as simple as wanting to make a couple hundred dollars a month to supplement an existing income.

It doesn’t matter what your “why” is, but it matters very much that you know what it is and to be aware that it can change over time. And it matters that your “why” includes both your heart and your mind. Very often, long-term network marketing involves philanthropy, which takes care of your heart and its desire to contribute. This may evolve after financial success is attained, but often, the philanthropic aspect is part and parcel of the “why” from the very beginning of business building.

LifePharm success stories often begin with, “I wanted to help…” Regardless of whether you are led by your heart or your mind, be cognizant that the two parts need to work in tandem. Then take action every day. Don’t overthink things. Share LifePharm products. Share the opportunity. Business success follows as long as you don’t stop.
