Did you know?

33 percent of American adults make up the “YouEconomy”

Due to the economic freedom and flexibility the YouEconomy provides, it’s been referred to as everything from the “sharing economy” to the “gig economy” and “freelance economy.” It isn’t a new concept, but it has taken a specific mix of technology, timing and economic revolution to create the right opportunity to truly thrive—and consumers are responding to the peer-to-peer business model.

About 42 percent of American adults have used, hired, rented or purchased at least one YouEconomy service over the past 12 months. And economist Paul Zane predicts 50 percent of the U.S.A. workforce will be composed of YouEconomy participants by the year 2020.

Workers of the YouEconomy generally have three things in common:

  • They have more control over how they spend their time than the average employee.
  • They have more control over their income than the average employee.
  • They are actively learning and exploring new ways of creating prosperity.

Zane says there are so many YouEconomy opportunities available for people who are interested in seeing if they will provide more control over financial security, time and talents. “The major determinant is attitude. When someone believes they can do it, almost in some supernatural way it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.”
