October is ADHD Awareness Month and the 2016 theme is “Knowing is Better.” For example: It’s better to know you have this condition so you can arrange for appropriate accommodations in school or the workplace. By recognizing this as a medical disorder, those properly diagnosed are less likely to feel destined to a life of underachievement and frustration.
