National Entrepreneur Month: Five Ways to Celebrate

Tomorrow, November 15, 2016, has been deemed National Entrepreneurship Day by U.S. President Obama, which focuses on raising public awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the entire month of November has been designated as National Entrepreneurship Month (NEM), a time when “we celebrate the remarkable and everyday successes of our entrepreneurs and innovators, and we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring our economy remains the engine and the envy of the world.”

NEM is observed informally by those who want to express their gratitude to entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs create new jobs, ignite innovation and make significant contributions to the country’s economy. On this day and throughout the month, entrepreneurs are encouraged to thank mentors, give funding and advice, and spread the word about how to achieve success in business. Here are five ways LifePharm IBOs can honor NEM.

  1. Be inspiring
LifePharm leaders who choose to host or speak at IBO-hosted events know the importance of having inspiration to draw from. Many of our IBOs have given endorsements on how the LifePharm Products have inspired them to start a new career path so they could share the products that changed their lives. We’ve also had IBOs praise their sponsors as mentors who had faith in them to be successful, inspiring them to join the LifePharm Opportunity. Embrace the role of experience and share your knowledge of this business with new IBOs looking for some inspiration. Brainstorm ideas with them, give feedback and offer constructive criticism to help them grow and be successful. After all, you know what it takes to be a leader.
  2. Be dedicated
Whether you are a full-time LifePharm IBO or juggling the responsibilities part-time with another career, dedication is important to your success. This means understanding new opportunities for networking might not always present themselves. You may need to create ways to reach new people: host a monthly book club, game night, gardening group, sports day or another hobby that peaks your interest and will bring you together with like-minded people. Not only will you grow as a person, but you’ll make new connections. Stay dedicated to your new path and watch the opportunities grow.
  3. Be humble
If you are lucky enough to have an entrepreneurial mentor, call and thank him/her for the guidance and support you’ve received. Initiating a small, sincere gesture expressing your thanks for the lessons you’ve learned, the success you’ve tasted and the challenges you’ve faced will go a long way. You can return the favor by paying it forward—become a mentor to someone else looking for some inspiration and guidance. Don’t know where to start? You can find ideas from tip numbers one and five in this article.
  1. Be self-caring
Be sure to set aside ample time each month for rest, relaxation or a favorite hobby. Experienced network marketers know the importance of down time. It is also essential to your success to maintain close relationships with friends and family. It gives you a support system, unconditional love and acceptance you won’t find elsewhere. Rest is also critical to your well-being and the long-term success of your efforts, so don’t skimp on it as your goals become tangible!
  2. Be supportive
Entrepreneurship means different things to different people. Regardless of geography, entrepreneurship is a shared commitment to turning an idea into a profitable business. Make an effort to support entrepreneurs everywhere. For LifePharm IBOs, this can be attending a sponsored event, helping to orchestrate a meeting or providing other relevant means of support. Although it’s been presidentially proclaimed each year since 2010, National Entrepreneur’s Day is not an official U.S.A. holiday.
