Events are Crucial to Network Marketing Success

Independent Business Owners (IBOs) that have attended a LifePharm event can undoubtedly recall something substantial gained from it: product training, personal development, motivation that empowers you to go out and spread the word about LifePharm, etc.

The structure and scheduling of events depend on the size, focus and intention of the event. They can be small—discussing only products or how to be a top leader—or large opportunity events with endorsements, recognition and training. The events can be company-sponsored or IBO-hosted. Both are valuable and play important roles in helping you along your path to success.

Product training or leadership development might be a focus in an established city where there are enough local IBOs, while opportunity events could be planned in newly-opened regions to build excitement and momentum. For example, last month two IBO-hosted LifePharm Business meetings were held in Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Over 650 guests combined attended the two events, where the exhilaration could be felt by both new recruits and veteran IBOs.

Events, especially ones held on an international level, are meant to strike an emotional chord with attendees. They are jammed-packed, fun and exciting times that foster friendship, comradery and renewed motivation. A good example would be the aforementioned LifePharm one-year European anniversary events held in October 2016. The two-city events honored top rank advancing IBOs and had plenty of business and product training, promotions and special guests, including LifePharm Founder and CEO Wicky Suyanto.

Even events held on a much smaller scale help build the belief and strengthen the emotional connection between IBOs and the corporate team. They unite everyone into a shared, collective identity, where people from all corners of the globe can proudly proclaim membership. It’s as crucial to a network marketing company’s ongoing success as anything else that helps define a distinct channel of distribution.

In last week’s episode of What’s Up LifePharm with Vice President of Field Development Steve Brown, the topic discussed was goal setting. If you haven’t yet hosted a meeting, maybe that can be a goal you set out to accomplish this year. You can start small—have a few people over for coffee and a snack or host a webinar. When you’re ready, move to a larger location such as a coffee shop or restaurant.

LifePharm created a flyer for IBOs with all the details on how to help you host your own meeting. See if you can duplicate the anticipation and enthusiasm you felt at the first LifePharm meeting you attended. The most successful IBOs will tell you it was a series of small meetings that led to the larger, convention-like events.

Don’t forget to attend meetings hosted by other IBOs in your local area. It’s a great way to meet like-minded individuals, share your story, and gain valuable training and tips from experienced hosts.
